The Role

As a KS1 Class Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that engage and motivate pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child can succeed
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress effectively
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all abilities and learning styles
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupil achievement
  • Promote excellent behaviour, confidence, and independence among learners
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupil development
  • Contribute to the wider school community through events and extracurricular activities

About You

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and effective teaching practice
  • Possess a good understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Be passionate about creating engaging learning experiences for young children
  • Have excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Show a commitment to continuous professional development
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
