Having opened our doors to our first cohort in September 2025, we are continuing to build a school that will serve local communities from the earliest years right through to sixth form, offering a ‘gold standard’ learning experience. As we expand, we continue to embed the core features of John Taylor MAT that have become a hallmark of its success.

We are commencing the search for committed, adaptable and caring Extended School Wrap Around Carer to work under the direct instruction and guidance of teaching staff within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), usually in the classroom alongside the classroom teacher. Applicants should have a good understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework and child development. The role may involve working with individuals or groups of children, both within the classroom and in other areas of setting, supporting learning through play, exploration and adult-led activities in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework.

The successful candidate, with the support of senior staff, will be able to provide a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment that is conducive to meeting the learning and development needs of each child relevant to age. The wrap around care will provide quality integrated day care and education for all children, currently our Nursery aged children and Reception children (3 to 4 years old), growing with the school to eventually accommodate ages 3 to 11 years, as the school grows over the next few years.

Working in partnership with parents/carers and staff you will help to create inclusive opportunities for children to engage fully in a purposeful learning environment, providing specific support in their care, learning and development.

In addition to the required qualifications and experience, you could be ideal for this role if you:

  • Have a Paediatric First Aid Qualification training will be provided, if necessary
  • Have experience working with children with SEND and specific needs
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to relate well to children
  • Have self-motivation and the ability to take responsibility
  • Understand school policies to ensure the safety and well-being of all the children, parents and staff.
  • Can build professional relationships with colleagues, parents and other stakeholders
  • Can liaise effectively with other team members, children and parents/carers

Above all, you must be able to demonstrate a deep commitment to the needs of pupils, ensuring their safety, comfort and inclusion, while proactively removing barriers to create an enjoyable, nurturing and secure learning environment.

We look forward to welcoming an enthusiastic, proactive and able member of staff who will contribute positively to the EYFS Team.
