About Moldgreen
Moldgreen Primary School is an ambitious, inclusive primary school in Huddersfield with an unwavering commitment to inclusion and equity. Every child here accesses aspirational opportunities and is known, valued and challenged. We hold IQM Flagship School status in recognition of our inclusive ethos and the quality of provision we offer to all children, including those with SEND.
Our curriculum is carefully designed to inspire every child and develop the foundations for lifelong learning. Pupil voice is strong, community links are deep, and our staff team is exceptional.
Staff at Moldgreen speak openly about the strong sense of value and belonging they feel. Our leadership team is visible, supportive and committed to the professional growth of every colleague. If you want to make a real difference in a school that will invest in you, we want to hear from you.
About the roles
We are recruiting two Cover Supervisors to join our support staff team, each with a specific phase focus:
Post 1 – EYFS and Year 1: working alongside our SENDCo/Early Years Leader and class teachers to support children in our early years and Key Stage 1 environment.
Post 2 – Years 2 to 6: working across year groups, including supporting the delivery of our oracy and writing curriculum and evidence-informed interventions.
In both roles, you will supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence, delivering pre-set learning activities with confidence and consistency. When not covering, you will work alongside teachers to support individuals and small groups, contribute to assessment and planning, and help maintain the positive and purposeful learning environment our children thrive in.
What we are looking for
You will be an experienced, confident practitioner who can take charge of a classroom calmly and professionally. You will bring:
Experience of working with children in a school setting, ideally across more than one year group
Strong behaviour management skills, including de-escalation approaches
The ability to deliver pre-planned lessons independently and manage a class effectively
A good understanding of child development, learning strategies and the National Curriculum
Knowledge of SEND and experience of adapting support for a range of needs
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools preferred)
GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths, or equivalent
A genuine commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children
What Moldgreen offers you
Moldgreen staff speak openly and enthusiastically about their roles, with a real warmth underpinned by strong relationships, open and honest communication, trust and true care for the wellbeing of all. We offer:
A warm, collegiate staff team with a strong sense of shared purpose
Visible, hands-on leadership with a genuine open door
A structured coaching model with peer observation, reflective dialogue and shared practice
Meaningful CPD and development opportunities tailored to your role and career aspirations
A well-resourced, well-maintained working environment
A school community where your contribution is noticed and valued
How to apply
We would warmly welcome applicants to look around our school and discuss the role on 26 June 2026 at 10:00 and 16:00. Please contact the school office on 01484 226681 or ***email_hidden*** to arrange this.
