Account Manager - Advertising Agency

WhyteMatter Staffing Solutions is recruiting an experienced Account Manager on behalf of one of our agency clients — a highly regarded, award-winning full-service marketing and advertising agency.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and organised Account Manager to join a collaborative client services team, working across integrated campaigns including advertising, digital, design, and media.

The Role

As Account Manager, you will play a central role in the agency, acting as the key link between clients and internal teams. You’ll own day-to-day client relationships, manage end-to-end campaign delivery, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high creative standard.

You’ll also proactively identify opportunities to add value and grow accounts through strong strategic thinking and excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients

  • Build strong, trusted client relationships

  • Lead client meetings, status updates, and presentations

  • Interpret and challenge briefs to fully understand client objectives

Project & Campaign Delivery

  • Coordinate creative, digital, media, strategy, and production teams

  • Manage multiple projects and campaigns across various channels

  • Develop scopes of work, timelines, and quotes

  • Monitor resourcing, risks, and delivery milestones

  • Review creative work and provide constructive feedback

  • Ensure timely delivery of campaign reporting

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Manage client budgets, costings, and profitability

  • Track spend and time against budgets

  • Identify opportunities for account growth and additional revenue

  • Ensure timely invoicing to support cash flow

Strategic Contribution

  • Contribute to campaign planning and strategic thinking

  • Spot opportunities to add value through new ideas or approaches

  • Support pitch work and new business activity where required

Essential Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in an account management role within an advertising, marketing, or digital agency

  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple deadlines

  • Understanding of integrated campaigns (digital, social, print, media)

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desirable

  • Experience with public sector or regulated clients

  • Familiarity with procurement or tender-led accounts

  • Experience using project management systems

  • Degree in advertising, marketing, or a related discipline

Role Belfast based with hybird working
