Highfurlong School is seeking to appoint dedicated and compassionate Special Support Assistants to join our professional team. These roles involve supporting pupils aged 2–19 years with a range of complex needs, including providing intimate personal care as part of a skilled and sensitive team.

Working alongside teachers and other professionals, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning for pupils with moderate, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, as well as those with behavioural, social, communication, sensory, or physical needs. You will help pupils overcome barriers to learning and enable them to achieve their full potential.

Highfurlong School is an Outstanding special school located at the heart of the Blackpool community. We provide a co-educational provision for approximately 144 pupils aged 2–19 with a wide range of additional needs.

The Role
