Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic MHST Team Manager (Band 7) to lead our Mental Health Support Teams for Education settings. This senior role offers the chance to manage, supervise, and inspire a skilled team making a real impact on young lives.

As Team Manager, you’ll oversee high-quality, evidence-based care, support staff development, and drive service improvement. You’ll collaborate with education providers, local authorities, and partners to ensure integrated, effective support for children, young people, and their families.

As MHST Team Manager, you’ll lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health support to children and young people. You’ll oversee clinical assessments, risk management, and care planning, ensuring robust record-keeping and data quality. You’ll manage caseloads, support with the coordination of referrals, and facilitate regular team meetings. Through clinical and line management supervision, you’ll drive staff development, recruitment, and performance. Working in partnership with schools, local authorities, and community stakeholders, you’ll contribute to service improvement, audits, and outcome monitoring. You’ll also support national and local priorities aligned with Trust objectives, champion safeguarding and equality, and promote continuous professional development, helping shape the future of MHST services.

This post is based in Stockport, with the team base located at Heathfield House, Cale Green, Stockport, SK2 6RA. As the team typically works within education settings four days per week, the role requires regular travel across the locality
