Information Governance Support Officer

An opportunity to join a dynamic and growing information governance team in a diverse and busy Trust.

The post holder will support the Information Governance Manager including managing internal and external Freedom of Information and non-health record Subject Access Requests.

Working as part of a small team, your duties will be varied but you will receive training in Information Governance, the Freedom of Information Act, Data Subject Access requests, and the management of information governance incidents and other specific information governance related tasks if you are new to Information Governance.

We are a close knit team of dedicated professionals, looking for the right person to complement and enhance our Information Governance support to the Trust.

To provide effective information governance assurance support to the Information Governance Manager in the day-to-day management of appropriate and lawful disclosure of organisation information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI), UK General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018, (subject access requests (SAR))

The post holder will have day to day responsibility for ensuring the timely processing of FOI/SAR requests. Ensuring requests are acknowledged, logged and forwarded to relevant departments to provide requested information.
