Senior Dietitian - Renal

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Registered Dietitian with experience and interest in renal disease to join our friendly, supportive and growing renal dietetics team.
The successful candidate will predominantly provide a service to patients chronic kidney disease requiring renal replacement therapy. A large part of this work will be at our satellite dialysis units.
We are looking for somebody with excellent clinical, interpersonal and time management skills, together with an ability to be flexible and a commitment to MDT working. In return, the successful candidate will have opportunity to further develop and extend their skills within the field of renal dietetics.
Our Nutrition & Dietetic Service has a staff of 35 who provide a service to the ethnically diverse populations of Wolverhampton & Cannock. The
dietetic renal team is one of 6 clinical teams within the service, supported by our excellent admin team. We provide clinical placements for learners from 4 universities.
You will be responsible for a clinical caseload, ensuring safe practice and contributing to the delivery and evaluation of an effective and efficient dietetics service.
Nutritional assessment and intervention of patients on renal replacement therapy.
Integrate with MDT and attendance at quality assurance meetings.
Provide guidance and education to non-specialist dietetic & MDT colleagues and learners in the field of renal dietetics.
Supporting inpatient team with complex renal cases.
Contribution to audit, research and quality improvement work.

Manage a caseload of patients across a range of dialysis centres. Assessment and interventions will include:
SGA assessments
Review biochemistry and other clinical parameters to support electrolyte & fluid management
Management of mineral bone disease
Weight management
Contribution to monthly MDT meetings
