Secondary Teaching Assistant

Zen Educate

Location: Washington | Immediate Starts Available

Zen Educate is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools. We have full-time, long-term opportunities available, with many schools offering the potential for permanent positions for the right candidate.

These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their academic and personal potential. You may work within mainstream classrooms, small intervention groups, or on a 1:1 basis with students who have a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH needs, and behavioural challenges.

Schools are looking for proactive and resilient Teaching Assistants who can build positive relationships with students, support engagement in learning, and contribute to a safe and inclusive school environment. Typical responsibilities include supporting classroom learning, encouraging independence, helping students develop confidence, and providing targeted support to those who need additional guidance.

Many of our partner schools are known for their supportive leadership teams, strong behaviour policies, and commitment to staff development, making these excellent opportunities for both experienced Teaching Assistants and those looking to begin a career in education.

Pay typically ranges from £108.50 - £115 per day, depending on experience and the role. School hours are generally 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
