Location & Travel Requirements
- Base: Split between our Blackpool and Fleetwood offices across 5 days (exact primary location to be discussed at interview stage).
- Travel: Regular travel between offices will be expected.
- Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to a car is preferred for this role.
About the Role
As a Restart Advisor, you won't just offer generic advice; you'll become a dedicated partner to individuals on their employment journey. You'll understand their unique challenges and aspirations, helping them make positive, lasting changes and find the right job as quickly as possible.
Please note: This role is split across our Blackpool and Fleetwood offices over a 5-day working week. Regular travel between these locations will be expected, and your exact primary base will be discussed during the interview stage.
You'll be instrumental in building their confidence, wellbeing, skills, and motivation, ensuring they're truly ready to move forward and succeed in the workplace.
What You'll Do
- Personalised Guidance: You'll be the primary point of contact for a caseload of participants, providing dedicated 1:1 support tailored to their specific needs, strengths, and goals.
- Build Confidence & Skills: Work collaboratively with individuals to identify barriers and develop actionable plans that enhance their employability.
- Consistent Engagement: Maintain regular communication with participants, connecting at least every two weeks (via their preferred method) and conducting face-to-face in-person meetings every four weeks.
- Collaborative Planning: Foster open and honest communication, working with participants to design and agree on their support plan, ensuring they have choice and control over their journey.
- Accessing Support: Guide participants to access the wide range of Restart Scheme services and support available, leveraging resources to maximise their chances of success.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking an individual with:
- Driving License & Transport (Preferred): A full UK driving license and daily access to a car to facilitate travel between our Blackpool and Fleetwood locations.
- Exceptional Communication & Interpersonal Skills: The ability to build immediate rapport, listen actively, and communicate clearly, empathetically, and non-judgmentally.
- A Passion for Helping Others: A genuine desire to empower individuals and support them through significant life changes.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability: The capacity to understand diverse needs and adapt approaches to suit individual circumstances.
- Strong Organisational Skills: The ability to manage a caseload effectively, maintain accurate records, and adhere to deadlines.
- Resilience & Empathy: A compassionate approach coupled with the ability to navigate challenging situations.
- Experience (Desirable): Previous experience in employment support, coaching, welfare-to-work, or similar client-facing roles would be highly beneficial.
