This is an exciting opportunity to join the Directorate for Strategic Planning and Student Administration (SPSA), which is at the forefront of supporting and enhancing the student journey through the University.
The Student Record Officer role sits within the Transactional Operations team in Student Record Systems, supporting the accurate and efficient delivery of student record processes across the full student lifecycle. The role is key in ensuring that student data is accurate, compliant and supports core activities such as enrolment, finance, assessment and progression.
The postholder will play an important role in delivering and coordinating student record activities, ensuring that processes are carried out effectively and in accordance with University regulations and procedures. This includes supporting student record updates, interpreting policies and resolving more complex queries, while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and data accuracy.
The role involves working with a wide range of student types and provision, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, full time, part time, online and partner delivery. You will contribute to a range of operational activities across the academic year, balancing competing priorities and adapting to peak periods such as enrolment and assessment cycles.
The successful candidate will be a proactive and organised individual with strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering high‑quality service. They will have experience working with data systems, be confident in interpreting processes and procedures, and able to resolve issues using judgement and initiative. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves working closely with colleagues across the University and responding to a variety of student and staff queries.
Experience of working within Higher Education or with student record systems would be advantageous, particularly if you have experience of applying regulations or supporting student lifecycle processes.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
