The Role

Sherborne St John Primary School is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Learning Support Partner to join our team.

This is a varied role working across the school, providing:

  • General classroom support
  • Small group work
  • Occasional 1:1 support
  • Some lunch duties

You will help pupils access learning, build confidence and feel included in school life.

We are a warm, welcoming village school with a strong community feel at our heart.   • Is patient, positive, and flexible
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Is keen to learn and develop their skills

This role is suitable for candidates with a wide range of experience, including those new to working in schools.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils in lessons across different year groups
  • Running small group interventions (e.g. phonics, reading, maths)
  • Providing occasional 1:1 support where needed
  • Helping create a calm, positive learning environment
  • Working closely with teachers and the SENDCo
