The Role
Sherborne St John Primary School is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Learning Support Partner to join our team.
This is a varied role working across the school, providing:
- General classroom support
- Small group work
- Occasional 1:1 support
- Some lunch duties
You will help pupils access learning, build confidence and feel included in school life.

- Enjoys working with children and helping them succeed
- Is patient, positive, and flexible
- Works well as part of a team
- Is keen to learn and develop their skills
This role is suitable for candidates with a wide range of experience, including those new to working in schools.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils in lessons across different year groups
- Running small group interventions (e.g. phonics, reading, maths)
- Providing occasional 1:1 support where needed
- Helping create a calm, positive learning environment
- Working closely with teachers and the SENDCo
