We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our well‑established, nurse‑led Occupational Health Service in the role of Band 6 Occupational Health Adviser.

Previous experience in Occupational Health is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training and development will be provided to support the successful candidate. We are keen to hear from nurses and allied health professionals with strong transferable clinical skills who are motivated to develop a career in Occupational Health.

This is a varied, impactful role where you will use your clinical judgement and communication skills expertise to make a real difference to staff health and wellbeing every day.

As a Band 6 Occupational Health Adviser, you will play a key role in delivering a high‑quality, person‑centred Occupational Health service that supports the health, safety and wellbeing of our workforce.

With Structured Support, Supervision And Development You Will

  • Undertake management and self‑referral assessments, providing clear, practical advice
  • Assess fitness for work and recommend reasonable adjustments
  • Support staff experiencing long‑term and short‑term sickness absence
  • Contribute to vaccination, immunisation and health surveillance programmes
  • Support the management of work‑related health risks, including body fluid exposures
  • Work collaboratively with managers, human resource and staff representatives
  • Contribute to service development, audit and clinical governance
  • Support and mentor colleagues and learners as your experience develops

This is a varied and largely autonomous role, offering a diverse caseload and the opportunity to further develop confidence and expertise in Occupational Health practice, with no two days being the same.
