Vacancy: Sewing Machinist / Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

We are seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our manufacturing team at our workshop in Montrose, Scotland.

This is a full-time, hands-on position suited to a candidate with sewing machine experience, ideally within an industrial or similar manufacturing environment. The wage rate will be dependent on experience.

Key responsibilities

· Operating industrial sewing machines and other equipment

· Working with heavy-duty materials such as PVC, canvas, and similar fabrics

· Measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing products accurately to specification

· Checking finished items to ensure they meet our quality standards.

· Following work instructions and production schedules

· Keeping the work area clean, organised, and safe

· Working as part of the team to meet production deadlines

Candidate requirements

· Previous sewing machine experience, preferably industrial

· Confidence working with heavy-duty materials.

· Good organisation skills and the ability to follow instructions.

· Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude

· The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

A high standard of workmanship, reliability, and attention to detail are essential.
