Sales Manager
Location: Cumbria
Salary: £43,500 - £60,000 DOE + Car Allowance
Working Pattern: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm | Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to join a leading UK housebuilder operating across Cumbria and the North West.
This role offers the opportunity to lead, develop and inspire a high-performing sales team while playing a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and achieving ambitious regional sales targets. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to maximise sales performance, profitability and operational effectiveness across the region.
This position would suit an experienced New Homes Sales Manager who is passionate about coaching and developing people, driving performance, and delivering outstanding results.
The Role
• Leading, motivating and developing a regional sales team to achieve and exceed targets
• Producing and presenting weekly sales reports
• Managing sales performance from reservation through to exchange and completion
• Supporting and coaching Sales Advisors to maximise sales opportunities
• Managing and supporting the Sales Administrator function
• Responding to solicitor enquiries and supporting the progression process
• Liaising with Construction teams regarding CML dates, legal completions and customer move-ins
• Reviewing and checking contract documentation
• Developing strong relationships with estate agents, solicitors and external stakeholders
• Managing customer enquiries and supporting the resolution of escalated issues
• Delivering training and ongoing development to Sales Advisors and relevant team members
• Working closely with Marketing on campaigns, events, lead generation and sales activity
• Attending marketing and business planning meetings
• Supporting the setup and launch of new developments across the region
• Contributing as part of the wider regional leadership team
The Person
• Proven track record within New Homes Sales Management
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Ability to motivate, coach and develop high-performing teams
• Commercially aware with a strong understanding of sales performance metrics
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong organisational and planning abilities
• Experience using sales data and market insight to drive performance
• Good understanding of the home buying process
• Knowledge of the property market, competitor activity and local housing sector
• Understanding of the legal, financial and mortgage aspects of property transactions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
• Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service

Working Pattern

Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
The business is moving towards a weekend management rota. With two Sales Managers currently operating within the region, this is expected to be approximately one weekend in every two, with time given back during the week.
