Day in the life of a Fleet Manager
As Fleet Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing all aspects of the Group’s vehicle fleet, including grey fleet. You will:
- Oversee fleet operations to ensure they are efficient, cost-effective, compliant, and safe
- Ensure all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards
- Use technology and telematics to optimise performance and efficiency
- Monitor and report on budgets, costs, and driver performance
- Lead on fleet strategy and continuous improvement initiatives, including sustainability.
What we are looking for
We’re seeking a knowledgeable and proactive professional with:
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle acquisition, leasing, disposal, and grey fleet management (Essential)
- Experience developing and implementing fleet strategies, policies, and driver handbooks (Essential)
- Familiarity with fleet management systems and telematics (Essential)
- Strong understanding of transport regulations, licensing, insurance, and health & safety requirements (Essential)
- Proven ability to manage budgets, analyse costs, and identify savings opportunities (Essential)
- Experience in risk management, including accident handling and insurance claims (Essential)
- Up-to-date knowledge of digital tools and emerging technologies, including EV and sustainability solutions (Essential)
- Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and service providers (Essential)
- Flexibility to work hours that meet the needs of the Group (Essential)
