Job Title: Multi-Utility Project Manager

Location: Gloucester

Salary: To £45,000 depending on experience

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Utility Project Manager to lead the safe, compliant, and commercially successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.

Covering gas, electricity, water, fibre and district heating networks, you’ll manage projects from pre-commencement through to commissioning and final adoption. This is a key role responsible for ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest technical, safety, and quality standards, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of multi-utility infrastructure projects
  • Oversee installations including mains, services, substations/PRIs, excavation, reinstatement, testing and commissioning
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients within your region
  • Lead pre-commencement meetings and regular site visits
  • Coordinate internal teams including construction, commercial, streetworks and SHEQ
  • Manage contractors and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, forecasting and margins
  • Control materials, minimise waste and manage variations/CVIs
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, tracking systems and reporting
  • Ensure adherence to H&S legislation, CDM regulations and company procedures

What You’ll Need

Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven experience in multi-utility or power distribution project management
  • Strong technical knowledge across gas, electric, water and/or fibre networks
  • Experience managing multiple live construction projects simultaneously
  • Strong commercial awareness including cost control and forecasting
  • Confident stakeholder manager with strong problem-solving capability
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations

Qualifications

Essential

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • NRSWA Supervisor Card
  • First Aid at Work

Desirable

  • SMSTS / SSSTS
  • Utility authorisations (Power / Gas / Water)
  • APM or PRINCE2 qualification
  • NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent
  • CSCS / SHEA registration
