Dynamics 365 Pre-Sales Consultant (CE and Power Platform)

The Pre-Sales Consultant works closely with the sales and delivery teams to showcase the capabilities of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform ecosystem. The role focuses on designing and delivering compelling solution demonstrations that clearly articulate business value and support the growth of the Customer Engagement practice.

This position involves regular collaboration with software development, consultancy, and project management teams to ensure that proposed solutions are technically feasible, commercially sound, and aligned with customer needs.

Requirements

Solution Demonstrations & Pre-Sales Support

  • Demonstrate how Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions can address complex business challenges.
  • Design, build, and deliver tailored end-to-end solution demonstrations for prospective clients.
  • Present solutions at events, seminars, and customer-facing workshops.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, value-driven solution narratives.

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Analyse client business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solution designs.
  • Develop high-level architecture diagrams for integrated solutions using Microsoft technologies and third-party systems.
  • Advise on solution options, design approaches, and best-fit architecture patterns.
  • Support the development of solution roadmaps aligned with customer objectives.

Sales & Bid Support

  • Provide technical and functional input for proposals, tenders, and RFP responses.
  • Collaborate with delivery and development teams to support accurate project estimation.
  • Contribute to the positioning of solutions against competitor offerings.
  • Advise sales teams on product strengths, limitations, and differentiators.

Demonstration Environment & Enablement

  • Build, maintain, and enhance demonstration environments for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
  • Ensure demo environments reflect the latest product capabilities and best practices.
  • Keep up to date with Microsoft release updates and emerging technologies.
  • Develop reusable demo assets and scenario-based demonstrations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with consultants, developers, and project managers to ensure solution alignment.
  • Support knowledge sharing between pre-sales and delivery teams.
  • Participate in internal solution reviews and architecture discussions.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Pre-Sales Consultant, or as a client-facing Functional Consultant with pre-sales responsibilities.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement or Power Platform solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications, including:
    • Sales

    • Customer Insights
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, including:
    • Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven)
    • Power Automate
    • Power Pages
    • Dataverse
    • Power BI
    • Copilot Studio
  • Experience configuring and preparing Dynamics 365 and Power Platform demonstration environments.
  • Understanding of solution customisation, including:
    • Business rules
    • Workflows
    • Business process flows
    • Forms, dashboards, and charts
  • Working knowledge of Dynamics 365 extension and development capabilities.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 integration (e.g. Teams and collaboration tools).
  • Awareness of emerging technologies, including AI and Microsoft Copilot capabilities.
  • Understanding of integration approaches and supporting technologies.
