Job Role Summary

Reporting to the Managing Director, this is an exciting dual role with overall responsibility for the Sales function as well as delivering sales apprenticeship training. This role would suit an individual looking to take on more responsibility for the company’s Sales function. The position requires a highly flexible approach as you will be working as part of a small team. responsible for a wide range of tasks.

Scope

  • Based at home with some travel required for internal and external meetings.
  • Required to maintain knowledge of products, market and sales best practice techniques (CPD ownership).
  • Follow procedures for the recording, storing, reporting and confidentiality of customer information in alignment with GDPR policy.
  • Manage your diary and schedule to ensure visibility of activities and priorities.

Sales Responsibilities

Working with the Managing Director and Non-Exec Director, you will be involved in the creation and execution of the sales strategy and plan.

  • Achievement of sales targets and agreed objectives / KPIs.
  • Timely and accurate activity, sales performance, and pipeline reporting.
  • Oversee management of CRM system to include data checks and reporting.
  • Present at relevant events and attend networking events as required.
  • Gather and report on market and industry information, including understanding the competition, to be able to identify new business opportunities and make recommendations for marketing campaigns using a range of resources such as company websites, LinkedIn, job vacancy sites and other methods.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Managing Director.

Training Responsibilities (Training Consultant)

Working closely with the Head of Apprenticeships and wider training team, you will contribute to the ongoing development, delivery and evaluation of all Apprenticeship programmes and will be responsible for quality of service, safety management and learner wellbeing. Inclusivity is a priority focus for all training consultants to ensure all learners can achieve their full potential.

  • To develop curriculum intent, scheme of works, schedules, training content, materials and assessment plans for apprenticeship programmes and other courses as required.
  • To prepare for and deliver high-energy, effective training to learners in-line iSales standards and expectations.
  • Create session plans, coordinate room, facilities and manage resource scheduling.
  • Plan and execute 1-2-1 coaching sessions with learners every 4-6 weeks.
  • To complete all assessment paperwork necessary to comply with quality standards to include maintaining accurate timely records on MIS.
  • Coordinate and attend networking and careers events as required.
  • Assist in the selection and assessment process of learners as required.
  • Attend customer site to meet with learners and employers as required.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Managing Director or Head of Apprenticeships.

Experience

  • Sound knowledge of traditional sales principles and methods.
  • +5 years in a senior sales role with a deep knowledge of new business and account management tools, methods and techniques.
  • Networking experience to include presenting in a classroom or live event.
  • Teaching, training or mentoring experience.
  • Health and safety, safeguarding and Prevent knowledge preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

  • GCSE grade A*-C in English and Maths.
  • Higher education in Sales, Marketing or Business.
  • Education, training and or assessor qualifications preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.

Other Requirements

  • Full driving license required.
  • Safeguarding, prevent duty, EDI, online safety, sexual harassment, SEND, county lines and other compliance training certificates preferred (full training will be provided if required).
