The Role

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support learning in the classroom. Working closely with teachers, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning across the classroom in line with the teacher’s planning
  • Provide targeted support for individual pupils and small groups
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of learning activities and resources
  • Promote positive behaviour and uphold the school’s behaviour expectations
  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development
  • Contribute to assessing pupil progress and providing feedback to the class teacher
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of working with primary-aged children (in a school or similar setting)
  • Good understanding of how children learn and develop
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
