Working from home with travel across your designated region, you'll play a key role in recruiting and engaging prospective foster carers, helping us find more families who can transform the lives of children and young people.
The Role
As a Foster Carer Recruitment Lead, you will take ownership of a regional enquiry pipeline, managing prospective foster carers from their first enquiry through to initial visit and beyond.
You'll be responsible for ensuring every enquiry receives a professional, supportive and responsive experience, helping prospective carers understand the fostering journey whilst maximising conversion rates and supporting service growth.

What You'll Be Doing
Managing Foster Carer Enquiries
- Managing a regional pipeline of prospective foster carers from enquiry through to initial visit.
- Responding promptly to enquiries via telephone, email and text message.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with prospective foster carers.
- Conducting initial fostering visits within your region.
- Maintaining regular communication throughout the recruitment journey.
- Re-engaging applicants who have withdrawn where appropriate.
- Ensuring all enquiries are progressed within agreed service timescales.
Performance, Reporting & Compliance
- Maintaining accurate records across internal systems.
- Monitoring enquiry pipelines, regional reports and conversion activity.
- Producing weekly performance reports and supporting monthly reporting requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, GDPR and organisational policies.
- Supporting the wider recruitment function to achieve service objectives and targets.
Engagement & Events
- Supporting and co-facilitating foster carer information events and live Q&A sessions.
- Representing Compass Community at recruitment events across your region.
- Attending regional and national team meetings.
- Promoting fostering opportunities within local communities.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is passionate about people, driven by results and committed to making a difference.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience within recruitment, sales, customer engagement or another target-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to influence and engage people both over the phone and face-to-face.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence working independently and managing your own workload.
- Experience using CRM, ATS or database systems.
- Strong attention to detail and reporting accuracy.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across your region.
Desirable
- Experience within fostering, social care or children's services.
- Understanding of the foster carer recruitment journey.
