We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work within Care of the Elderly, Princess of Wales Hospital.

We aim to provide a high standard of care within our unit and are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, has a friendly manner and an excellent work ethic.

Good organisational and communication skills are essential as well as a flexible approach to work across sites. The successful candidate will have ideally have previous office and front of house experience, ideally in a similar role within the NHS, or other health related environment. A good general education, 3 GCSEs or equivalent, are required. Knowledge of Health Board IT systems to include Myrddin and Enlighten would be desirable although full training will be given.

The successful candidate will be able to work in a busy environment and have a sensitive, caring and non-judgemental attitude towards others. They must also be flexible in their role.

To contribute to the provision of health care to patients; providing a comprehensive and confidential Reception/clerical support in relation to Care of the Elderly.

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Ward Clerk to join our team in Care of the Elderly at the Princess of wales Hospital. As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the ward’s administrative functions. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be flexible to meet the needs of the service.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
