We're Hiring: Group Auditor – Food Safety & Compliance

UK Wide | Company Car | £30,000–£38,000

David Wood Baking is looking for a driven and ambitious Group Auditor to join our Food Safety & Technical team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Food Safety & Regulatory Affairs, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their auditing career within a fast-paced, multi-site food manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include:

GMP & hygiene auditing

Allergen control verification

Compliance and process control assessments

Training and induction reviews

Engineering systems auditing (food safety impact)

Quality systems, HACCP & TACCP compliance

Customer complaint trend analysis

You will also

• Support internal audits against the David Wood Baking Manufacturing Standard

• Assist with supplier audits where required

• Help maintain RSPO accreditation

• Produce clear audit reports and follow up on corrective actions

• Work closely with site teams to drive continuous improvement

What we're looking for:

• Experience within a food manufacturing, technical, or QA environment

• Exposure to auditing or compliance activities

• HACCP qualification

• Food Safety Level 3 qualification

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach

• Ability to work independently and manage travel commitments

• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Lead Auditor qualification (or working towards)

• Experience working with retailer standards

The role:

• Travel across all 7 UK sites

• Typically 2–3 nights away from home per week (location dependent)
