The Package

  • Starting salary of £35,000 to £39,000, dependent on experience
  • OTE of £50,000+ through overtime and additional earnings

The Role

As a Fire Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding, and repairing a wide range of fire safety systems across your designated region.

You will play a key role in ensuring our clients remain compliant, protected, and operational at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults on conventional and addressable fire alarm systems
  • Conducting fire extinguisher servicing and maintenance in accordance with current British Standards
  • Completing emergency lighting inspections and testing where required
  • Undertaking reactive call outs and emergency repairs
  • Producing accurate service reports and maintenance records
  • Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, and company procedures
  • Building strong working relationships with clients and site representatives
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service and technical delivery
  • Participating in a 1 in 6 out of hours on call rota

What We Are Looking For

Essential

  • Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems
  • Experience servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers
  • Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of current fire safety legislation and British Standards
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A professional and customer focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • FIA qualifications
  • Experience with Gent, Advanced, Kentec, Morley, C-Tec, Notifier, Honeywell, or similar systems
  • Emergency lighting experience
  • Fire extinguisher certification
  • Knowledge of integrated fire and security systems
