This is an important and influential role within the UK Compliance function, offering the opportunity to work closely with business leaders and colleagues across the organisation to help ensure that compliance considerations are embedded into decision-making and business activity from the outset.

Chubb UK has a strong and established presence in the UK insurance market, providing a broad range of property, casualty, and specialty insurance solutions. The business operates in a highly regulated environment, and compliance professionals play a critical role in supporting sound governance, regulatory awareness, and the delivery of practical, commercially informed advice. Chubb’s Consumer Lines business comprises an expanding portfolio of products for UK consumers, including home, contents, mobile phone, gadget, and travel insurance. These products are distributed through a range of regulated and unregulated partners, including Appointed Representatives, and the role will support compliance oversight across these arrangements.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Advice Manager to join our UK Compliance team. This role will be central to providing high-quality compliance advice and support across the UK business, with a particular emphasis on Consumer Lines. You will work in partnership with stakeholders across the business to help shape compliance culture, support product and distribution activity, and ensure that regulatory obligations are understood and appropriately managed.

This is a highly visible role that requires sound judgement, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to influence effectively at all levels. You will play a key part in helping Chubb maintain a robust compliance framework while supporting the business in achieving its strategic objectives.

Your Impact

  • Act as a trusted and credible compliance advisor to Chubb’s UK business, with a particular focus on Consumer Lines, providing clear, balanced, and commercially practical guidance on regulatory requirements, Chubb policies, and product initiatives.
  • Support product governance activity, including the development, implementation, review, and oversight of new products and distribution arrangements.
  • Review and advise on customer-facing materials, including websites, policy documentation, and financial promotions, ensuring they are accurate, compliant, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
  • Provide timely advice and support on day-to-day compliance queries, helping colleagues navigate regulatory and policy requirements with confidence.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the UK Compliance Plan, supporting the delivery of business and regulatory actions across all business lines.
  • Work collaboratively on cross-functional projects, ensuring compliance considerations are identified early and embedded effectively into business initiatives and objectives.
  • Engage with regulators where appropriate, representing Chubb’s interests professionally and supporting the preparation of regulatory submissions.
  • Monitor, interpret, and communicate regulatory developments, helping the business respond in a timely and effective manner to change.
  • Oversee and help resolve compliance incidents, ensuring issues are managed promptly, appropriately, and with a focus on effective outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and support compliance training and awareness initiatives, helping to strengthen understanding and accountability across the business.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong and in-depth understanding of UK insurance regulation, including consumer and commercial insurance products, Consumer Duty, Product Governance, Insurance Conduct of Business, and Appointed Representatives.
  • Significant experience providing compliance advice in a regulated financial services or insurance environment.
  • Demonstrable ability to assess complex issues, apply sound judgement, and provide practical, risk-based advice.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to work through ambiguity in a thoughtful and structured way
