Automation Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair issues with key automated systems.
• Analyze material handling equipment (MHE) metrics and provide data visualizations.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize operational processes.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate system documentation and backup libraries.
• Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to develop system improvement strategies.
• Install and commission new automated equipment with global colleagues.

What You'll Need

• Experience with PLC controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment.
• Experience supporting a wide range of conveyors and sortation systems.
• Experience with material handling, flow, and capacity visualization and monitoring.
• Experience with Ladder Logic and structured programming from major PLC manufacturers (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Codesys).
• Experience with SCADA and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
