Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Play a key role in Maritime Internal Research and Development, advancing next-generation capabilities
• Take innovative concepts from research through to integration with operational platforms
• Contribute to problem analysis, solution design, and high-quality software delivery
• Develop software requirements, solutions, and recommendations while contributing to architecture design
• Engage in fast-paced experimentation, solution development, and integration of bespoke/COTS products
• Work across the full software development lifecycle in a multidisciplinary team

What You'll Need

• Proficiency in Python and Java
• Experience in Agile development environments and Secure DevOps/CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Bitbucket, JFrog, Ansible, Grafana, Splunk, Confluence, and Kubernetes
• Experience designing and implementing service-oriented and microservices architectures
• Containerisation experience, preferably with Docker, and use of automated testing frameworks
• Ability to hold or obtain UK SC clearance and be a sole UK national
