KS2 English and Maths Tutor

Make a Real Impact as a KS2 Tutor.

Are you a passionate, friendly educator, making a difference in the lives of students? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors who’ll provide personalised 1-1 support for KS2 level students in English and Maths. These in-person sessions in Colchester offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

• This job is in person in the Colchester area.
• Hour(s): 2 hours per week
• Contract Length: Until the end of the 2025/26 academic year
• Available Day(s) and Time(s): Monday - Friday, during school hours
• Subject and Level: KS2 English and Maths
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Rate of Pay: £30 p/h

What You'll Do:

• Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level.
• Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.
• Provide targeted support for students.
• Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in.
• Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who has:

• A Bachelor’s degree.
• 2+ years of tutoring / teaching experience.
• Experience working with students with SEN/SEMH is preferred.
• An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The right to be self employed in the UK.
