As an Intermediate Business Analyst, you will play an important role in making Hippo the best Consultancy out there. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team combining data, design, product, delivery, analysis and engineering to deliver bespoke digital services that make a positive and meaningful impact on organisations and society. You will act as an Intermediate Consultant to deliver

Business Analysis services to our clients. You will take complicated business problems and user needs and turn them into clear instructions for the services or products we create. You will work closely with designers and product owners to ensure we deliver useful things quickly to users and clients .

Our solutions empower our customers to build and support secure, scalable, and well-engineered systems beyond traditional boundaries that allow our customers to understand and get the most from their data and digital services. The Intermediate Business Analyst will be a key player and implementer in this.

Please note we are looking for candidates who are looking for growth at the Intermediate level; therefore, the advertised salary band represents the entry point for this level, allowing for clear progression within the role, which we are very keen to support.

Your Role in a Nutshell

  • Look closely at problems and suggest different ways to improve services and products, giving clear and helpful advice.
  • Plan and run workshops, build strong relationships, and make sure everyone agrees on the same goals.
  • Write down and study how businesses work, finding ways to make them more efficient.
  • Gather and make clear what's needed for a project, turning them into simple instructions for the team.
  • Work with Product Owners and Delivery Managers to keep track of what the team will work on.
  • Help with testing the product to make sure it works for users.

About The Candidate

Analytical and critical thinking

Essential Experience

  • Experience in business analysis and working on Agile projects.
  • Proven ability to look carefully at information from different places to figure out what it means and suggest what to do.
  • Experience using different ways to show how things work (modelling) and choosing the best way to use them.
  • Experience working well with designers and understanding how user research helps decide what is needed for a project.
  • Ability to confidently share findings with project teams using facts and evidence.

Desirable Experience

  • Ability to use data to help with clear thinking and decision making.
  • Experience deciding which things on a project plan are most important (prioritisation).
  • Experience influencing design decisions, such as how user research is done or how the product looks.

Hippo Locations

We are headquartered in Leeds and have offices across the UK in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Bristol. We're on the lookout for top talent nationwide but you need to be located within reasonable travelling distance from one of our offices. Given the dynamic nature of a consulting business, you may be required to work on-site at a Hippo office or at an in/out of town client location for a number of days per week (client dependent) and therefore candidates will need to be open/flexible to travel and working on one of those sites at least 2 days per week. We offer a generous relocation support package of up to £8,000 (please ask for terms and conditions) to help make your move a smooth one.
