We’re on the lookout for an Insurance Administrator!
If you enjoy working with data and great teams, we have the role for you. Based in our Head Office in Harrogate we want an Insurance Administrator to join us and work with our management and engineering teams, external insurers and brokers to manage the handling of our insurance claims.
What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Head of Service Delivery & Safety, you’ll record and handle all our insurance claims to reduce costs, ensure they are dealt with appropriately and in a timely fashion to protect and maintain our brand and reputation. Key responsibilities include;
- Responsibility for creating and maintaining a central database and recording and monitoring all insurance claims and recovery, including but not exclusively claims in relation to motor, facility, personal injury.
- To be the first point of contact in relation to insurance claims with both our external claims handlers and internal colleagues.
- To act as incident manager in the case of serious incidents, including visiting the scene, taking statements, etc.
- To work with the finance and operations teams to provide claims analysis and regular updates on the status of insurance claims.
- Work with the engineering and operations teams using claims data to identify reoccurring incidents / trends to work towards reducing claims / incidents.
- Work with the engineering teams and third party repairers to improve repair response times (Strata).

What We Need From You
You’ll thrive in this role if you have;
- Previous experience of handling insurance claims and working with external insurers / brokers.
- Competent in the use of Excel for the recording, monitoring, reporting and analysis of claims.
- Good numeracy and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels both internally and externally to the company.
- High levels of accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team managing a diverse workload with a hands on approach.
- The ability to work flexibly and to deliver to tight deadlines.
