We’re looking for someone who loves to inspire and delight by providing top-quality experiences for visitors to join us as a Senior Visitor Experience Officer at Tredegar House. This role supports the Visitor Experience Manager in making sure everything runs smoothly in what is a complex and lively visitor business.

Contract Duration: Permanent

Interview Date: Monday 6th July
Mae cyfieithiad Cymraeg yr hysbyseb hon ar gael yn yr atodiadau.
What it's like to work here:Tredegar House is a vibrant site, located on the edge of Newport, part of the South East Wales portfolio. With 100,000 visitors each year to the House and formal gardens, and 500,000 into the parkland, we're busy throughout the year with a strong and varied programme. We're a team that is really excited about the next few years; as our numbers continue to increase and we seek to build our offer and engage with the public in new ways. Across the site, from Gardeners to House Hosts, our passion is obvious.
Tredegar House has always been a colourful place, and it's the stories that make the place come to life. For more than 500 years it was home to the Morgan family, whose lives impacted on the population of south-east Wales socially, economically and politically. In 1951 it became a school, and in the 1970s it became a Historic House Museum, before coming into National Trust Management in 2012.
What you'll be doing:As a key member of the Visitor Experience team, you'll be focused on achieving the highest standards of presentation and service, helping everything run smoothly during projects, events, active conservation work, and busy school holidays throughout the year. You will be making things happen, devising and running events and activities, and creating interpretive displays and other ways of bringing the place and its stories to life for everyone who comes here. You'll be encouraged to think big and think long term.
Sometimes you may need to get stuck in and help wherever you’re needed to keep the whole place running smoothly. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to talk to visitors, introducing them to all that makes Tredegar House so special. You will also be managing and supervising others, including volunteers.
