Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Dietitian with a passion for food and nutrition to join our Bank at the Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust.

There will be opportunities to work across inpatients, outpatients and domiciliary settings and review patients from multiple specialties. You will work alongside Speech and Language, Occupational and Physiotherapy colleagues in the hospital, as well as the colleagues in community teams working collaboratively for the benefit of our patients.

The role ideally requires the candidate to have a range of experience, the ability to work autonomously in an often demanding and changeable environment and the confidence to communicate effectively with a wide spectrum of different healthcare professionals, community colleagues and family members.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent, acceptable for registration with Health Care Professions Council e.g. BSc Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Evidence of further postgraduate study and continuous professional development

Desirable criteria

  • Clinical Supervisory skills
  • Member of British Dietetic Association

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Varied experience of in and outpatient settings
  • Experience of working with ‘MUST’ or similar screening tool
  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Up to date knowledge of artificial nutrition support
