Are you passionate about helping people take control of their finances, build confidence and improve their long‑term wellbeing? Citizens Advice Solent East is looking for a dedicated Generalist Adviser (Financial Skills) to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of local people.
This is a rewarding role supporting clients who may be experiencing financial hardship, vulnerability or crisis. You will empower individuals to understand their money, reduce financial stress and develop the skills they need to manage their finances independently.
About The Role
As a Generalist Adviser (Financial Skills), you will provide high‑quality, impartial advice on budgeting, income maximisation, financial planning, banking, credit and money management. You will work one‑to‑one with clients and deliver group workshops designed to build financial capability and resilience.
You will take a holistic approach, exploring the wider issues affecting clients’ financial wellbeing and connecting them with the right support. You will also ensure all casework meets Citizens Advice quality standards and complies with GDPR, safeguarding and organisational policies.
This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, organised, confident in working with people, and committed to improving financial wellbeing in the community.
