Universal Interiors is a growing company supplying and installing high-quality wardrobes and bathrooms for residential developments across Scotland. We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Part-Time Accounts Administrator to support our finance function and help ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day financial operations.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional seeking a flexible part-time position within a dynamic and friendly business.

Reporting directly to the management team, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and administrative duties, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing supplier invoices and managing purchase ledger activities
  • Raising customer invoices and managing sales ledger functions
  • Credit control and chasing outstanding payments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing supplier payments
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
  • Supporting payroll administration where required
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers and subcontractors regarding account queries
  • General finance and office administration duties

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in an accounting, finance, or bookkeeping role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial administration
  • Experience using accounting
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Professional and confident communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience within the construction, interiors, or manufacturing sector
  • Knowledge of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
