About This Opportunity

We’re looking for an organised

Digitisation & Records Clerk to support the storage, digitisation and management of Council records. This role is office based at specific sites in Carlisle, working with paper records, so there is no opportunity for working from home or at other Council sites.

Key Duties

  • Manage storage, retrieval and tracking of files
  • Maintain accurate record lists and datasets
  • Support secure handling and confidentiality of information
  • Assist with appraisal, archiving and disposal of records
  • Prepare and scan documents, checking for accuracy and ensuring high-quality digital outputs
  • Manual handling of large amounts of boxes on a regular basis, including on and off shelves, and working from height in record stores
  • Moving boxes between Council sites on a van

About You

Detail-focused, reliable, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion, demonstrating strong organisational skills and a proactive approach. Able to undertake regular manual handling duties, including lifting and moving a high volume of boxes.
