Based at the UEFA-compliant Stebonheath Park, our stadium features an exceptional playing surface and a passionate group of supporters. The club is run by the Chairman Wayne Stephens, General Manager Colin Staples, Club Secretary Peter Tiffin and our very hard working Supporters Group. Role(s) Description

These are work experience opportunities designed for individuals looking to break into the sports, media, sports journalism, social media, or digital marketing industry. Whether you're currently studying or developing your skills independently, this is your chance to gain hands-on, real-world experience within a football club environment.

Web Content Writers (2 positions) -

  • Write engaging and informative articles for the club website, including transfer news, club updates, match reports, player interviews, and general club news
  • Research, develop, and publish accurate and timely written content around the club and wider football landscape
  • Conduct and support player and staff interviews, turning conversations into compelling stories
  • Assist in building consistent editorial output to keep the website active and up to date
  • Work closely with the media team to align written content with social media and club messaging
  • Desired but not necessary - knowledge of Welsh football pyramid and leagues

Usual tasks include creating engaging articles, match reports, press releases, transfer news, match reports, match previews, and other related content for internal and external audiences. The role requires collaboration with various team members to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication strategies. This is a remote role with responsibility for producing high-quality written content that aligns with Llanelli Town AFC’s values and goals.

Social Media Executives (2 positions) -

  • Manage and maintain the club’s social media platforms across TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Schedule, publish, and optimise content using existing and newly created media
  • Ensure consistent activity and engagement across all platforms on a daily basis
  • Support matchday coverage through live updates, posts, and audience interaction
  • Work closely with content creators and media team members to align messaging and campaigns

This opportunity is ideal for anyone looking to build practical experience, develop confidence, and understand how social media operates in a live sports environment, where engagement, timing, and consistency are key. Both these positions are hybrid roles, some on-site days would be ideal, focused on maintaining an active and professional online presence for Llanelli Town AFC.

Content Creators (2 positions) -

  • Capture, shoot, and produce engaging content on matchdays, training sessions, and club events
  • Create short-form and long-form content for TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Develop creative storytelling around players, fans, and behind-the-scenes club activities
  • Collaborate with the media team to execute content strategies and campaigns
  • Support the development of new ideas to enhance fan engagement and digital presence

This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in sports media production, build a strong creative portfolio, and understand how content is created and distributed in a live football environment. This is primarily an on-site/local role due to the nature of filming and production responsibilities.

Content Editors (2 positions) -

Graphic Designer (Still Content)

  • Design matchday graphics, posters, banners, thumbnails, and helping social media team
  • Maintain visual consistency aligned with the club’s branding
  • Support creative campaigns with engaging static content

Video Editor (Motion Content)

  • Edit match highlights, short-form videos, reels, and promotional content
  • Work on storytelling through video, including interviews and behind-the-scenes footage
  • Optimise video content for different platforms and formats

General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with content creators and social media team for integrated campaigns
  • Ensure high-quality output across all visual content
  • Contribute creative ideas for campaigns and fan engagement
  • Stay updated with design and video trends in sports media
