An opportunity has arise to join our Supply Chain Team in Royal United Hospital (Bath), based out of the site at Combe Park, Bath as a Supply Chain Coordinator.
The Royal United Hospital (Bath) as part of the Integrated Care Service initiative between Salisbury, Bath and Swindon.
It is a time of huge opportunities and impactful changes within the NHS modernising the service by adopting GS1 standards and Scan4Safety methods.
The successful applicant will have a drive to deliver outstanding Supply Chain Service to our clinicians and ensure all the processes are followed so we can ensure the patient is safe and all products are available to the end users.
This is a customer focused role providing a service to maintain a continuous supply of goods to the forefront to deliver patient and clinical care.
The role is varied and very physical in nature due to the activities that will be undertaken such as picking, packing, sorting, and the distribution of goods.
The role is a full time 37.5 hours / week Mon – Fri 08:00 – 16:00
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and highly motivated individual to join our Supply Chain team at the RUH in Bath.
This role is to enhance the level of service delivered to the Acute trust and to drive improvements.
As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that clinical services within the hospital have a continuous supply of goods in line with the Trust’s Inventory Management system.
With the use of this leading-edge technology, you will be able to influence how goods are moved, managed, stored, purchased & replenished within your remit.
The role requires scheduled visits to the departments, undertaking stock inventory using a provided inventory management system.
The role will include investigating discrepancies, problem solving, contacting suppliers, and conveying information to stakeholders in a timely manner.

Essential criteria
- Intermediate ability of computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Fast Accurate key board skills.
- Good time management and organisational skills.

- Advanced ability in use of all MS Office suite of applications.
- Good presentation skills.
Knowledge

- Understanding of Supply Chain functions & processes.
