Aughton Early Years Centre is a highly regarded and well-established Local Authority Maintained Nursery School offering 100 places for 0–4-year-olds both term-time and full year. The governors of our warm and welcoming Centre are looking to appoint a caring and dedicated inspirational early years teacher. This post is required from 1st September 2026 or as soon as possible after this date.
We welcome applications from both experienced and early career teachers.
The successful applicant will;
- Work effectively and flexibly as a member of the large FS1 team and wider Centre staff, to meet the needs of all our children and make a positive difference to their lives
- Plan an exciting curriculum that involves young children as active learners and gives them the best possible start to their school life
- Set and achieve high standards and expectations of learning, behaviour and care
- Foster strong relationships with parents/carers and with professionals from outside agencies
- Be an organised person with excellent time management and ICT skills
- Have experience of and a commitment to working with very young children who have additional needs.
The Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful candidates will have to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Check. Satisfactory references, 1 professional (from current or most recent employer) and 1 character will also be required. Online searches will be conducted on shortlisted candidates.
