West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Review Team as an Occupational Therapist, reporting to the Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist within the Review Team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality assessments and reviews of care and support services for adults with diverse needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough reviews of existing care packages, ensuring that individuals' needs are accurately assessed and met.
  • Working collaboratively with service users, carers, and other professionals to identify and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders regarding occupational therapy interventions.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of services through participation in quality assurance processes.
  • Attending panel meetings to provide professional input and recommendations.
  • As part of the Review Team, you will be working alongside dedicated professionals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
  • Experience working in a social care setting, ideally within a local authority.
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with the ability to identify and address individuals' needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with service users, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in occupational therapy and social care.
  • Ability to work independently, managing a diverse caseload while also contributing to team objectives.
  • Positive attitude and a passion for delivering high-quality care and support.
