Machine Driver

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for skilled Excavator Operators to join our groundwork teams on a busy project in New Romney. You will operate 5T tracked excavators across a range of tasks including lifting operations, external drainage, and driveway works, maintaining the highest standards of safety and plant care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating 8T tracked excavators across various groundwork activities
• Carrying out lifting operations in line with current lifting plans and site requirements
• Installing and maintaining external drainage systems including trenching, laying pipes and backfilling
• Excavating and preparing sub-bases for driveway construction works
• Working accurately to drawings and levels to ensure quality of finished work
• Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Carrying out essential greasing and basic maintenance, keeping machines clean and tidy

REQUIREMENTS

• CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Excavator +/- 10t Tracked*
• CPCS Lifting Ops / NPORS* Excavator as Crane
• Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
• Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE

• GPS machine control experience
• CPCS / NPORS* Forward Tipping Dumper
• CPCS / NPORS* Ride-On Roller
• CPCS / NPORS* Telehandler
• CPCS / NPORS* Quick Hitch Attachment
• 5+ years of experience
• Please note: to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards that are CSCS-affiliated and carry the CSCS hologram. If you do not currently meet this requirement, please still get in touch – we are happy to guide you through the transfer process.
