Community Midwifery Team Leader

We would like to invite applications for a Band 7 Community Midwifery Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife seeking to develop leadership skills while contributing to high-quality, person-centred maternity care across our local services.

This secondment will involve leadership responsibility across both a Community Midwifery Team and the Community Maternity Unit, providing a unique chance to influence care pathways, support team development, and strengthen continuity for women, birthing people and families, whilst providing support to the Community Midwifery Manger.

The Successful Applicant Will

  • Provide visible, supportive leadership within both the community midwifery service and the community maternity unit
  • Oversee safe and effective day-to-day service delivery, including workforce coordination and clinical governance.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to enhance service quality and user experience
  • Promote a positive team culture, supporting reflective practice, clinical development and staff wellbeing
  • Contribute to improvement activity aligned with NHS Grampian priorities and national maternity service standards
