Join our team as an Electrical Supervisor / Appointed Person (AP) on the Lower Thames Crossing, where you’ll play a key role in delivering temporary electrical systems across a complex, high-profile infrastructure project.

You’ll provide Authorised Person (AP) electrical cover for the Temporary Site Services package, ensuring all electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with Balfour Beatty’s Electrical Safe Systems of Work (ESSW).

This is a hands-on site leadership role, where you’ll work closely with delivery teams, subcontractors and BBATS leads to plan, coordinate and supervise works while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and performance.

What you'll be doing

  • Carry out Appointed Person (AP) duties in line with Electrical Safe Systems of Work (ESSW)
  • Supervise electrical works, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery
  • Support planning through Work Package Plans, Risk Assessments and Temporary Works input
  • Identify hazards and implement controls to maintain a safe working environment
  • Deliver task briefings and toolbox talks to engage the workforce
  • Coordinate labour, plant and materials in line with programme requirements
  • Monitor quality, workmanship and subcontractor performance, promoting “Right First Time”
  • Track progress against programme and support KPI and reporting requirements
  • Ensure plant, tools and equipment are fit for purpose and properly maintained
  • Maintain accurate records and support cost control through validation of labour and plant
  • Liaise with project teams and BBATS leads to plan and coordinate works effectively

Who we're looking for

You’ll Have

  • Experience delivering electrical works within a construction or infrastructure environment
  • Strong understanding of safe systems of work and electrical safety standards
  • Experience supervising site teams and subcontractors
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence behaviours on site
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends and unsociable hours where required

Essential

  • Trained Electrical Appointed Person (AP)
  • ECS Card
  • SMSTS
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience of temporary electrical installations
  • Proven experience delivering toolbox talks and managing site activities
