Packing Operative

We are looking for motivated and reliable Packing Operatives to join our team in Carlton, Barnsley. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, ideal for those with food industry experience who want to be part of a supportive and hardworking team.

Location: Carlton, Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts – Days (7 am–7 pm) and Nights (7 pm–7 am), on a rotating 3-on/3-off basis

Pay Rate: Packing Operative: £12.21 per hour

Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing contract with immediate starts available

Key Responsibilities

• Work along a conveyor line to quality-check and package finished goods

• Keep your workspace clean—sweep, mop, and manage waste effectively

• Report discrepancies, accidents, or near misses promptly to Shift Managers

• Ensure productivity while maintaining high standards of quality and safety

What We’re Looking For

• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic

• Previous experience within a food environment is essential

• Reliable and punctual, with excellent timekeeping

• Physically fit and able to work under time-sensitive conditions

• Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality control
