Your role
As an HR Officer (UK) at WellGear, you play a key role in supporting the HR function and ensuring a positive employee experience across the organisation. Working together with colleagues at our HQ in Assen, The Netherlands, you provide practical, hands-on HR support to managers and employees, support day-to-day HR operations, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen engagement, performance, and well-being.
Your responsibilities
- Supporting day-to-day HR administration, including maintaining employee records, issuing contracts of employment, and preparing HR reports
- Ensuring HR policies and procedures are up to date, compliant with UK employment law, and clearly communicated across the organisation
- Participating in HR initiatives and projects to improve processes, support change management, and enhance employee experience
- Assisting with recruitment activities and supporting new employee onboarding to ensure a smooth and welcoming start at WellGear

Your profile
You are approachable, structured, and comfortable advising stakeholders at different levels of the organisation. In addition, you bring:
- CIPD Level 5 or an equivalent HR qualification (preferred)
- Solid knowledge of performance management, employee engagement, and HR best practices
- A strong understanding of UK employment law
- Previous experience in an HR advisor or generalist role, ideally within the oil & gas or energy sector
- Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a high level of discretion
