The Role

Working closely with the Compliance Manager and operational teams, you will play a key role in

maintaining compliance, supporting customer requirements, reducing the Cost of Poor Quality

(COPQ), and driving continuous improvement throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement projects to reduce COPQ

  • Investigate non-conformances and shop floor issues, identifying root causes and implementing

corrective actions

  • Apply structured problem-solving tools including 8D, DMAIC, Ishikawa, and 5 Whys
  • Create and manage customer documentation packs and quality records
  • Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Conduct internal audits and support customer, supplier, and regulatory audits
  • Raise and manage corrective actions and change notes
  • Support customer complaint investigations and wider quality improvement activities

Essential Requirements

• Knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to manage workload and work calmly under pressure
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments

Desirable Experience

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor qualification

  • Experience in structured problem solving (8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
  • APQP knowledge including PPAP, Control Plans, DFMEA, and PFMEA
  • Experience producing FAIRs to SAE International AS9102
  • Understanding of Environmental, Health & Safety, and Welding compliance requirements
