Salary: £33,202 to £42,266 full time equivalent

£21,581 to £27,472 actual salary

Location: Selby College

This is a fantastic, rewarding opportunity to join our dedicated Foundation Learning and Transition team where you will provide outstanding teaching and learning opportunities to learners with Special Educational Needs and disabilities (SEND). You will have the inclusive teaching and learning skills required to ensure that all learners can fully access the curriculum and achieve their highest potential.

As a Lecturer in Foundation Learning you will plan and deliver engaging lessons for learners with SEND, this will include employability skills, maths, English and digital skills from Entry Level to Level 2. You will also plan and deliver a range of vocational taster sessions to raise aspiration for further study, arrange local employer engagement and encourage local social action to give learners a wide range of opportunities and experience to engage in the world around them.

As a Lecturer in Foundation Learning, you should have:

  • A degree or equivalent level qualification
  • GCSE A*-C / 9 - 4 in Maths and English or equivalent as a minimum
  • Experience of working with young people with SEND, ideally in a teaching capacity
  • Experience of teaching employability skills, Functional Skills maths, English and Digital Skills up to Level 2
