Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Ashley Park School, Epsom, Surrey KT18 7LR
Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata )
Hours: 37.5 hours hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8am - 4pm
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

About the Role Ashley Park School is a unique and nurturing educational community operating across two sites in Walton and Epsom. We provide personalised, high‑quality education for children and young people aged 5–19. This role is based at our Epsom site, supporting students predominantly within the 11–19 age range.We are now seeking an inspiring Science Teacher who is passionate about transforming outcomes for young people with diverse and complex needs. - Plan, deliver and assess engaging Science lessons for individuals and small groups up to GCSE level
- Contribute to nurture‑based programmes that support students’ social, emotional and academic development
- Monitor, record and report on student progress, ensuring personalised learning pathways
- Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans
- Create a safe, stimulating and well‑organised classroom environment with appropriate resources
- Work collaboratively with LSAs, tutors, care staff and multi‑professional colleagues
- Support students in developing self‑regulation, independence and positive behaviour
- Contribute to whole‑school development, safeguarding practice and the wider School Development Plan
What you will bring
- QTS required
- Ability to teach Science up to GCSE
- Has experience working with young people who present with additional needs or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
- Can work effectively as part of a multi‑professional team
- Is committed to safeguarding, high standards and continuous professional development
- Can adapt teaching to meet individual needs and ensure meaningful progression
