We have an exciting opportunity to join the Home Environment Assessment and Response Team (HEART) as a permanent Housing Assessment Officer (HAO).
HEART plays a vital role in supporting residents across Warwickshire by providing access to grants and facilities that help adapt homes, enabling people to live in safe, accessible, and healthy environments.
About the Role
This position is primarily based in the HEART North area working out of the Nuneaton and Bedworth Council Town hall; however, there may be occasions where you are required to support the South Warwickshire area, depending on service demand.
The role offers flexible working arrangements, with the option to work remotely from home or from a HEART office. There will also be times when you are required to attend offices or other locations across Warwickshire for team meetings, training, or other work-related activities.

- Occupational Therapists
- Housing Assessment Officers
- Housing Duty Officers

Key Responsibilities
As a Housing Assessment Officer, you will:
- Manage a varied and diverse caseload
- Complete comprehensive needs assessments
- Develop appropriate housing solutions in line with HEART policies and relevant legislation
- Ensure cases progress efficiently and within appropriate timescales
- Deliver a range of housing adaptations and solutions to meet residents’ needs
- Balance competing priorities while remaining flexible and responsive to service demands
