Lecturer Subject Lead in Performing Arts - Acting

Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking to appoint a full time Lecturer Subject Lead in Performing Arts, with an acting and musical theatre specialism.

Due to a growth in Performing Arts we are looking to appoint a subject lead with expert knowledge of acting and to lead across our already successful Performing Arts provision. You will be responsible for the direction of performing arts within the college. There is the potential to grow this area further and as part of this role you will be responsible for taking a lead in the marketing, relationship building and promotion of acting with a key focus on growing the provision. We currently deliver the UAL awarding body performing and production arts qualifications at level 2 and 3 but there is potential to expand the provision to include levels 1 and 4. This role is based at the Warrington Campus.

Suitable candidates will have expert knowledge of acting and performing arts. You will be confident with the delivery and assessment of UAL qualifications in particular the level 2 and 3 Performing and Production Arts. It is essential that you are a good communicator, with a strong desire to work alongside the Curriculum Manager, ensuring high quality teaching and learning. You will embrace innovative ideas for growing the existing curriculum and further developing its reputation as the ‘go to’ place for Performing Arts. The role will include occasional evening work including performances, open days and interview evenings throughout the year.

In addition to this, applicants should possess excellent teamwork and organisational skills with an ‘excellence’ mindset.
