Job Title: Facilities Officer

Salary: £28,752 per annum - access to a company van

Location: Office and site-based role with regular travel across the Group’s corporate offices, hubs and other corporate or commercial buildings.

Hours: 36 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Day in the life of a Facilities Officer

In this role, you'll support the smooth day-to-day operation of our corporate and commercial buildings, helping to ensure our facilities services are delivered efficiently, safely and to a consistent standard.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager – Corporate Buildings, you’ll:

  • Coordinate facilities activities across sites
  • Respond to building-related issues and queries
  • Support compliance and health & safety requirements
  • Carry out low-level repairs and basic maintenance tasks (within your level of competence)

You’ll also bring:

  • Experience in facilities management, building operations, caretaking or a similar role (essential)
  • Ability to carry out minor repairs and practical tasks safely within defined limits (essential)
  • A good understanding of workplace health & safety requirements (essential)
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities (essential)
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to work with colleagues and contractors (essential)
  • Experience maintaining records and using digital systems (essential)
  • Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development (essential)
  • A full UK driving licence (essential)

In addition, you’ll be confident in providing constructive challenge where facilities management or compliance may be at risk.
